Seeking Wisdom, Publishing Truth!

“Truth, indeed, came once into the world with her Divine Master, and was a perfect shape, most glorious to look upon; but when he ascended, and his apostles after him were laid asleep then strait arose a wicked race of Deceivers, who, as that story goes of that wicked Typhon with his conspirators, how they dealt with the good Osiris, took the virgin Truth, hewed her lovely form into a thousand pieces, and scattered them to the four winds. From that time ever since, the sad friends of Truth, such as durst appear imitating the careful search which Isis made for the mangled body of Osiris, went up and down, gathering up every limb still as they could find them. We have not yet found them all, Lords and Commons, nor ever shall do till her Master’s second coming. He shall bring together every joint and member, and shall mould them into an immortal feature of loveliness and perfection.” ~ John Milton in his Areopagitica 1644

Providing you with articles, stories, biographies, of the Founding Fathers of the United States, and others to inspire, educate and elevate. We try to concentrate mainly those articles, letters, speeches, etc. that also relate to what is happening in the United States in this day and time. We provide you also with of our own thoughts, opinions, and facts regarding history, politics, and life in general. We will also be providing you with a Liberty Library of titles written by the Founders, read and studied by the Founders thus helping to form the opinions, wisdom, and insight they had. We try to provide you with a variety of material that will be of interest to everyone, young and old alike. We also provide a section dedicated to speeches, articles, and books written by the greatest minds of our American heritage and history , directed towards young minds. We hope to help you educate yourself and your children to the true nature of our American Republic, the principles and beliefs, that were, and are a part of her founding and that has led her to be the greatest, most richly blessed nation in the history of the world.

To clear up some misconceptions by those who are not informed. For those that think we are against government, We are not, We are however against the people who are currently in government! “Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst
state, an intolerable one.” ~ Thomas Paine

For those who think from reading this blog that we are a christian right winger organization who wish to have a theocratic government in the United States. You could not be more wrong, that would also lead to abuses of power, just as it did during the inquisition and bloody Mary’s reign. Those things that the Framers fled to America to be free from, and which inspired the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.

We do however, dispute those who try to assert that America was not founded on Christian principles, those are the exact principles the U.S.A. was founded on. We, just as the Founding Fathers did, We think what we as a Nation and a People SHOULD do, is to gratefully acknowledge the Father and the Son, (just as they the Founding Fathers did,) and thank them for the blessings, liberty, rights and freedoms which they have so graciously blessed us with in America, and humbly pray for their continued assistance in our lives and our Republic.

What we should NOT do; is try to get God and Jesus out of the public discourse, and deny their very existence, considering as Patrick Henry said in a speech in 1765; “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ! For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here.” I was raised in a non-denominational church so I completely understand what he meant by this. America was not founded by organized religion. It was founded by those who believed in Jesus Christ, loved the principles He taught, and wanted to serve Him in truth and in righteousness, not as dictated by the state, with the help of the Church, but as their own conscience directed them.

Note from Captain James: From my study of history it is obvious the founding fathers were the culmination of a great work of the Lord and had His wisdom in how they set up the American system based on liberty and virtue. Yet, they like all men, were just men, in my mind this just gives even more glory to God and our Lord Jesus Christ, because if they had not undertaken in imparting the wisdom they did to a group of men with moral failings, then it would never have taken place. I honor them for the work they allowed God to accomplish through them, and for the work itself, not for their failing human natures. Indeed who am I to judge them, I cannot say I would have, or anyone else I have ever met who would have done better considering the times. We all have our failings, more glory to God that He is able to work through us despite them.

I would also assert that I cannot claim, the honorable name of being a christian, for I have not the love, that Christ had for all people in spite of their character. Therefore don’t attribute anything you don’t like about me to Christ, Christianity, or God, I am a man, and I am a human, we all have our faults as perceived by others. I am but a way-worn pilgrim, on the path to righteousness, trodding toward Jerusalem.
