Some people consider breakups to be the worst thing that anyone could ever have to go through over the course of their life, but we are of the opinion that sometimes breakups can end up being a very good thing once all has been said and is now out of the way. The reason behind this is that when you break up with someone you have the chance to start fresh, and oftentimes the breakup reveals to you that you really hadn’t been as happy as you initially thought you were and that’s something that matters more than you might think.
Sometimes regretting a breakup can make you happier than might have been the case otherwise because of the fact that you wouldn’t have to worry about the stress that comes with being in a relationship that had pretty much never been meant to last. That’s why the first thing that you should do after you have broken up with the person that used to be your significant other should be to list down all of your regrets.
The great thing about doing something of this sort is that it would help you realize the kind of person you truly are, and it will put into perspective what truly happened here. You don’t want to spend your days pining for someone that really wasn’t all that great for you after all, and when you read through your list of regrets you would realize that you might just be somewhat better off doing something else with your time. After all, you never know when someone better is waiting just around the corner for you, and you want to be available when you meet them.
